FAQs

What are your hours?2022-05-27T01:56:37+00:00

We are open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and on Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. If you would like to come by to meet with someone outside of these hours, we would be more than happy to schedule an appointment.

Where are you located?2022-05-27T01:57:35+00:00

10787 Highway 92 Woodstock, GA 30188

Do you assemble, move or disassemble other companies’ sets?2022-05-27T01:57:56+00:00

As a company, we do not move or assemble products other than our own.

Can I add to my set later on?2022-05-27T01:59:08+00:00

Absolutely. Oftentimes people will add more age-appropriate features as their kids get older. The only thing to note however is that delivery and installation are free when the playset is purchased, but there is generally a small delivery fee to cover gas and labor for small additions.

Do I need to be home during the install?2022-05-27T01:59:35+00:00

While it is not absolutely necessary we recommend that someone be home during the installation when possible. It is much easier to reposition the fort during the installation than once it is complete. Also, there are occasionally decisions that need to be made on-site and may require the homeowner to be present so that the best decision can be made. If you are not going to be home during installation you need to make sure that there is outside power available and that you have marked the area where the set is to go. Once the installation is complete the playset will not be moved without a separate labor fee.

What if it rains on or before my install?2022-05-27T02:00:01+00:00

Generally, rain on any days leading up to the installation will not affect your installation. However, if it is raining on your installation date, or if it has rained enough 24 hours prior that the ground is still very saturated we may need to postpone the installation. Generally, when this happens we can make up the installation within 3-5 business days.

How long does an install take?2022-05-27T02:00:35+00:00

Just a few hours, depending on the size of the set. Usually, they won’t be on-site for more than 2-3 hours. If the job is particularly large or very custom, it may take anywhere from 6-8 hours up to a couple of days.

Do you install on the weekends?2022-05-27T02:01:27+00:00

Generally, no. We install playsets Monday – Friday only. However, if you absolutely have to have it done on the weekend our installers will occasionally do it for an extra fee, assuming they have time in their schedule (they all work on the weekends doing side jobs.) If you are interested you can work it out through the office.

What is your lead-time?2022-05-27T02:02:01+00:00

Depending on the time of year we can be anywhere from a week to four weeks backed up, although our goal is not to ever be more than two. If you are trying to work around a birthday, home closing, etc. please try to allow enough time. We will do whatever we can to work on your timetable, but the more notice we have the better. We also understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned, so if you need to reschedule we will always do what we can.

Do I need my Home Owners Association’s approval?2022-05-27T02:02:36+00:00

That varies from subdivision to subdivision. Generally, they require some sort of approval or notice, and we have never had approval for one of our sets denied. Usually, it’s a simple matter of filling out a form and providing a picture of the product. They usually want to know that it’s wooden with green accessories and will be within the plain of the sides of the house. Basically, they want to make sure that it will not be an eyesore for your neighbors. We can help provide you with whatever information (pictures, diagrams, etc.) you do need.

Do you offer to do any grading or landscaping?2022-05-27T02:03:01+00:00

Because our sets are designed to be able to work with a slope, no leveling is required. Beyond the digging it takes to level the fort and swings, we don’t do any grading. We do offer to do the border to surround the area. We use 8-foot-long, 6×6 pressure-treated timbers, which we route and re-bar into the ground. Because a single timber is tall enough to contain the appropriate amount of mulch, the timbers are not “stair-stepped” to be level, but instead, follow the lay of the ground. This border is designed only to contain the mulch and is not meant to be a retaining wall of any sort. We also sell mulch that is specifically designed for playgrounds with several delivery options. For more information and pricing, see Is mulch really that important?

Do you need to come look at the site prior to the install?2022-05-27T02:03:25+00:00

No. Our installers are qualified to help decide on placement if you need a little help. They stay up to date on all safety requirements and clearance guidelines, and the sets are designed so that changes in orientation can be made on site. If you are concerned though, we do offer to do a free site evaluation. Feel free to call the office and schedule one, or submit a request online.

Does my space have to be level?2022-05-27T02:03:50+00:00

Nope. Most yards are far from level. We’ve worked with everything from a mild or moderate slope to yards you would never think we could have made work. And when we get done, the set is perfectly level—no leaning towers! Check out the pictures and see how we managed to stay king of the mountain!

How much space do I need?2022-05-27T02:04:18+00:00

We recommend allowing a 6’ perimeter around the playset as well as 8’ – 12’ to the front and back of the swings. Each model shown on our website lists the recommended area for the standard layout of that set. However, it is important to keep in mind that each set can usually be configured differently in order to work within a particular space. Feel free to call us to discuss how we can work with your yard, and remember we offer free site evaluations!

Where should I put my swing set?2022-05-27T02:04:44+00:00

Placement within the yard is completely up to the homeowner. We recommend a spot away from potential hazards (ponds, drainage ditches) and one that is shady. This will both protect your child from features such as the slide getting hot, as well as help reduce their exposure to the sun’s UV rays during playtime.

What is your delivery area?2022-05-27T02:05:06+00:00

We offer free delivery and installation within 75 miles of our location for playsets $995 and up. We will go farther or deliver smaller purchases for an additional charge.

Can I customize my set?2022-05-27T02:05:34+00:00

Absolutely! Whether you just want to add or remove a feature or two from our standard designs, piece together components to come up with your own design, or come up with something altogether unique, we do it all! Take a look at some of the custom projects we’ve done in the past.

What ages are your swing sets intended for?2022-05-27T02:05:54+00:00

Generally, speaking kids will play on these sets from between the ages of 2 and even as old as 13 or 14. Certainly, however, there are certain features intended for certain ages. Obviously, monkey bars and the fireman’s pole are not intended for particularly young users. (If you are looking at a set that includes these features but has a young child, we offer temporary barricades at no additional charge.) They also need easy access to the fort, like a climbing ramp instead of a ladder, and baby seats, which we have available. Likewise, older kids will lose interest in features that they feel are too immature or a fort they feel like they’ve outgrown the size of. For older kids, we recommend the monkey bars, rock climbing wall, and other challenging features. We custom design, so no matter what your child or children’s age, we guarantee we can come up with a design to accommodate them safely!

What is the weight limit for your playsets?2022-05-27T02:06:23+00:00

Our sets are super heavy-duty! The plastic features on our playsets generally hold up to 125lbs, although they will hold adult weight. The structures themselves will pretty much hold however many people you can fit, including adults. It’s only fun if mom and dad play too!

Are the swing sets anchored to the ground?2022-05-27T02:07:19+00:00

Yes. Our sets are anchored using 18” long 2×4 stakes. Cement is available for an extra charge, however, we don’t generally recommend it. Concreting a set into the ground makes it nearly impossible to move or disassemble, and the sets are so heavy under their own weight even anchoring is overkill.

What kind of lumber do you use?2022-05-27T02:07:49+00:00

Our sets are made of pressure-treated pine lumber. This is a non-arsenic, non-chromium treatment that protects against rot and termite damage. Other wood choices are available for special order, however, they are more expensive, and don’t last nearly as long.
